Abstract
English teaching method is a general term of some teaching methods. These teaching methods are supported by certain theoretical foundations and applied principles. Each English teaching method is limited by the teaching content, and each method has some deficiencies. These English teaching methods continue to develop in the course of the history of English teaching. To a certain extent, the development history of English teaching is representative of the development of English teaching methods. In view of this, this article mainly expounds the development of English teaching methods, the change of ideas and concepts of English teaching methods, and the educational innovation of English teaching for the reference of relevant personnel.
