Abstract

With the in-depth integration of artificial intelligence into the digital transformation of education, “AI + Education” has become the core direction for the reform and innovation of ideological and political education (IPE) in universities in the new era. Traditional online IPE in universities faces practical dilemmas, including rigid content, extensive communication, insufficient precision, and weak value guidance. Meanwhile, the iterative upgrading of generative AI, big data, and other technologies has provided brand-new tools and paths to improve the quality and efficiency of online IPE, while bringing multiple risks such as algorithmic bias, filter bubbles, weakened values, and ethical anomie. Taking the dual-driving logic of digital and intelligent empowerment as well as value guidance as the core, this paper systematically elaborates the theoretical basis and value logic of AI empowering university online IPE and youth value guidance, and deconstructs the internal operating mechanism of AI in facilitating the production and targeted communication of IPE content. From six dimensions including philosophy, content, methods, carriers, teams, and institutions, this study constructs an innovative education system of AI-enabled online IPE adapted to the growth characteristics of contemporary youth. It promotes the transformation of university online IPE from “extensive irrigation” to “precision drip irrigation,” and provides theoretical support and replicable practical paradigms for the construction of intelligent IPE and the guidance of mainstream values among young people in universities in the new era.
