In today’s rapidly changing society, higher education is facing an urgent need to cultivate talents with innovative spirit and entrepreneurial ability. As the requirement of adapting to the development of the era, innovation and entrepreneurship education has gradually become one of the important directions of teaching reform in colleges and universities. This article aims to explore its role and significance in improving the quality of education, cultivating students’ comprehensive quality, and promoting social and economic development through in-depth research on the teaching reform practice in colleges and universities based on innovation and entrepreneurship education. The research will focus on the practical cases of innovation and entrepreneurship education in different universities, combining qualitative and quantitative research methods, from multiple dimensions such as curriculum design, teaching mode, and practice platform construction, to comprehensively analyze the scope and methods of innovation and entrepreneurship education in the teaching reform of universities, in order to provide useful guidelines for the reform of higher education.
