Abstract

Robert Frost’s The Road Not Taken underwent significant variation in the People’s Education Press textbook. Its content shifted from a trivial, philosophical incident to a momentous life decision, and its theme evolved from quiet reflection to didactic moral instruction. Such variations in adapting foreign literature are ubiquitous and warrant urgent scholarly attention.
