Abstract

With the education reform of application-oriented undergraduate colleges, the use of curriculum ideology and politics is more and more frequent, and its teaching status and proportion are constantly improving. Many application-oriented undergraduate colleges take the initiative to integrate the educational elements of curriculum ideology and politics into it according to the needs of the development of the era. The traditional education and teaching methods should be thoroughly reformed. It is necessary for English majors to carry out ideological and political education in the curriculum. English major teachers should play a leading role, combine with the actual situation of the training program for English majors, do a good job in ideological and political work in the course, strengthen the guidance of students’ thoughts and behaviors in an all-round way, and ensure that students standardize their words and deeds in daily life. Under the guidance of correct life values, they should actively study English and maintain a positive attitude at any time.
