Abstract

Along with the acceleration of aging in our country and the increased prioritization on healthy living, the prevention and treatment of senile diseases have become a hot topic. The Dietary Inflammation Index (DII) is a new tool for assessing dietary inflammation. This article reviewed the research processes on the association between DII and age-related diseases such as osteoporosis, cognitive impairment, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and so on. It is expected that DII can provide guidance on the daily diet of older people, prevent and treat age-related diseases, and improve their quality of life.
