Abstract

Objective: To investigate the impact of individualized nursing based on the IKAP model on cardiac function in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods: A total of 112 patients with chronic heart failure admitted from January 2024 to September 2025 were selected and grouped using the random number table method. The control group (56 cases) received conventional nursing, while the observation group (56 cases) received individualized nursing based on the IKAP model. Cardiac function and quality of life were compared between the groups. Results: After three months of nursing, the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, while the left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD) and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD) were significantly lower than those in the control group (p < 0.05). The quality-of-life score in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Individualized nursing based on the IKAP model can effectively improve cardiac function and quality of life in patients with chronic heart failure, and is thus worthy of promotion.
