Abstract

The Kite Runner tells a story of how Amir, who is tormented by the guilt of abandoning a best friend, achieves peace in his heart by taking the responsibility for his wrong decision. This paper analyzes Amir from the perspective of existentialism, dissecting the action and choice of Amir with the theme of freedom and responsibility.
