Abstract

Objective: To explore the clinical effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction combined with acupuncture in treating cerebral infarction sequelae. Methods: In this study, 80 patients with cerebral infarction sequelae admitted to the hospital from April 2022 to March 2024 were selected and divided into a control group (n = 40) and a combined group (n = 40) according to different treatment regimens. The control group received acupuncture treatment alone, while the combined group received Buyang Huanwu Decoction treatment based on the control group. The clinical effects, physical indicators, and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared and observed 3 months after treatment. Results: After treatment, the clinical efficacy of the combined group (92.50%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (72.50%) (p < 0.05). The physical indicators of the combined group were significantly better than those of the control group (p < 0.05). Additionally, the combined group had fewer adverse events than the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Buyang Huanwu Decoction and acupuncture has significant efficacy in treating cerebral infarction sequelae. It can effectively contain disease progression, reduce adverse events, and significantly improve patients’ physical indicators. This treatment approach has clinical promotional value.
