Why submit?

INNOSC journal series are new flagship journals of Bio-Byword Scientific Publishing, with INNOSC Theranostics and Pharmacological Sciences is the first journal being launched among others. Although, this journal is a brand-new needs time to get a high citation number, abstracting, indexing and impact factor, however, the journal ensures a friendly manuscript submission system, fairness and unbiased peer review process, rapid publication, copyright retention and widespread visibility of the articles published in the journal. 

Efficient Review System and Rapid Publication

  • An average of 90 days from submission to publication is required for a submitted manuscript to be published in the journal
  • The submitted manuscripts are peer-reviewed by the top scholars in the relevant research field, which will indirectly add a value to the quality of the manuscript and increase the citations.
  • A double-blind peer review process is used to ensure a fair and unbiased review on the submitted manuscript by reserving the identity of both reviewers and authors.
  • Low publication fee in the range of 300-600 USD will be charged for different types of the article after acceptance. The authors from low-middle or low-income countries/regions are eligible to apply for publication fee waiver. Please refer the publication fee below for future details. Rejected articles are not charged any fee.                                                                                                                                                                                                  

 

Copyright Retention

The authors own the copyright of the published articles. The authors as per rule may recreate duplicates of their articles in any capacity they pick and unreservedly disperse these as reprints or electronically, as long as the first production is completely referred to. For example, the authors’ distributed article can (with the full reference) be posted on their own or institutional homepage, researchgate, linkedin or other social media, emailed to colleagues, collaborators and partners, printed, documented in an accumulation, conveyed on CD ROM, cited in the press, interpreted or disseminated in some other method to the same number of individuals and as regularly as you wish. The publisher’s articles are Open Access and circulated under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows the utilization, dispersion, and propagation in different discussions, gave the first writers and source are credited.                                                                                                                                                                                     

 

Open Access

Bio-Byword Scientific Publishing’s Open Access Policy ensures high visibility and maximum exposure to the work of the authors. Under Open Access Policy, anyone can read the authors’ articles without paying any access or subscription fee. Additionally, the authors’ work can be shared as long as a proper citation and/or acknowledgment is given under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License.                                                                                    

 

Article Promotion

The authors’ articles are widely promoted through different media, such as email alerts and, when appropriate, press releases, further increasing the accessibility and spreading of every research work. 

                                                  

Publication In Press

All articles that have been accepted are published electronically online in press, without waiting for a full issue to be published.                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Publication Fees

All articles published in the journal are accessible electronically from the journal website without any kind of payment. However, Article Process Charges (APC) is applicable to all authors who have their manuscript successfully accepted after peer review, covering the cost incurred in processing the manuscripts in order to ensure the contents are freely available and maintain publishing quality. The manuscripts processing means the APC is used to cover the peer review, copyediting, typesetting, publishing, content depositing and archiving processes. An invoice of APC will be issued after the typeset manuscript has been proofread by the authors, where authors are advised to pay the APC within one week to avoid a delay in publication online. The publisher encourages all authors to publish their manuscripts without concerning the cost of APC to be a barrier especially to authors from the low and lower-middle-income countries/regions. A range of discounts or waivers is offered to authors who are unable to pay the publication processing fees. Authors can write in to apply for a waiver (50-100%) and requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The publisher uses the World Bank Country Classification table to identify low and lower-middle-income countries/regions. While applying for waiver kindly send a cover letter by email to itps-editorial.office.bbwpublisher.com with the following information after acceptance of the manuscript:

  1. Manuscript ID
  2. Title of your paper
  3. Corresponding author name and institution with full address
  4. Reason for applying for a waiver
  5. Funding details of the study
  6. Focus of the manuscript with details on how it will contribute to issues pertaining to the local community or issues in the country of origin of the manuscript.

The publisher would like to urge authors that decision on the discount or waiver will be solely with the Editorial board and publisher, and the decision is final.

 

Article Types

Original Research Article

Original research articles should provide details regarding essential and unpublished investigations and ought to describe the aims and hypothesis, methods, results, analysis of the of results and conclusion. The journal allows the original research articles to explore confirming studies and disconfirming results, which allow hypothesis elimination, reformulation or potentially provide details regarding the non-reproducibility of previously published results. Articles should include the following sections:

  • Abstract
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Consent for Publication
  • Acknowledgment
  • Conflict of Interest
  • List of Abbreviations
  • Reference

Original research articles are peer-reviewed with the following requirements:

  1. Maximum word count of 12,000
  2. Up to 15 figures/tables.
  3. Authors are required to pay a publication fee to publish an original research article.                                                  

 

Review Article

Review articles cover topics that have critical advancement or improvement as of late with complete profundity and give an adjusted point of view. Review articles should exhibit an entire diagram of the cutting edge (and ought not just to summarize the available literature on the topics). Additionally, review articles should discuss the following:

  • Different school of considerations or discussions
  • Basic ideas, issues, and problems
  • Current research gaps
  • Suggestion to improve the research gaps or future perspectives in the field

It is advised that review articles may include any unpublished material (unpublished/original data, submitted manuscripts, or personal communications). However, a clear explanation/elaboration on the unpublished material should be provided. Articles should include the following sections:

  • Abstract
  • Introduction
  • Sections (with heading and subheadings)
  • Conclusion
  • Consent for Publication
  • Acknowledgment
  • Conflict of Interest
  • List of Abbreviations
  • Reference

Review articles are peer-reviewed with the following requirements:

  1. Maximum word count of 12,000
  2. Up to 15 figures/tables.
  3. Authors are required to pay a publication fee to publish a review article.                                                                                 

 

Mini-Review

Mini-review articles cover focused aspects of a current area of investigation and its recent developments. Mini-review articles should provide a compact and clear summary of the topic, enabling readers to have the latest information on new developments and/or emerging concepts, as well as discuss the following:

  • Different school of considerations or discussions
  • Current research gaps
  • Suggestion to improve the research gaps or future perspectives in the field

Mini-reviews may include unpublished material (unpublished/original data, submitted manuscripts, or personal communications). However, a clear explanation/elaboration on the unpublished material should be provided. Articles should include the following sections:

  • Abstract
  • Introduction
  • Sections
  • Conclusion
  • Consent for Publication
  • Acknowledgement
  • Conflict of Interest
  • List of Abbreviations
  • Reference

Mini-reviews are peer-reviewed with the following requirements:

  1. Maximum word count of 3,000
  2. Up 2 figures/tables.
  3. Authors are required to pay a publication fee to publish a mini review                                                                           

 

Case Report

Case report articles are a descriptive account of human or animal patients that present with an unexpected/rare diagnosis, treatment outcome, or clinical course. Case Reports should include the following:

  • Background
  • Case presentation
  • For human patients: age, sex and occupation of the patient, presenting symptoms, the patient’s history and any relevant family or social history, and relevant clinical findings
  • For animal patients: age, sex, and breed of the animal, presenting problems, the animal's history, and relevant clinical findings
  • Description of laboratory investigations and diagnostic tests
  • Discussion of the underlying pathophysiology and the novelty or significance of the case.

Authors are required to obtain a written informed consent from the patients (or their legal representatives) for the publication. For case reports involving animals, authors are required to obtain the ethics consent from the ethics committee. Articles should include the following sections:

  • Introduction
  • Background
  • Discussion
  • Concluding Remarks                                  

Case reports should have the following requirements:

  1. Maximum word count of 3,000
  2. Maximum of 4 display items (figures, tables, or videos)
  3. Authors are required to pay a publication fee to publish a case report                                                                            

 

Short Communication

Short communications may encompass short analytical reports, experimental procedures or observations of high quality. Authors are required to pay a fee to publish a Short Communication. Articles should include the following sections:

  • Introduction
  • Background
  • Discussion
  • Concluding Remarks

Short communications should have the following requirements:

  1. Maximum word count of 3000 words
  2. Up to 3 tables/figures
  3. Up to 10 references                                                                                                                                                                     

 

Opinion

Opinion articles allow authors to allocate their points of view on the interpretation of recent findings in any research area, the value of methods used, weaknesses and strengths of any scientific hypotheses, and adhere to the following requirements:

  • may include unpublished or original data (but a clear explanation or elaboration should be provided)
  • supported by evidence
  • fully referenced
  • encourage constructive discussion
  • refrain from emotionally-charged argumentation

Opinion articles are peer-reviewed with the following requirements:

  1. Maximum word count of 2,000
  2. Up to 1 figure/table.
  3. Authors are required to pay a publication fee to publish an opinion article                                                                    

 

Letter to the Editor

Letters to the editor express the feedback or asking for the clarification or comment on earlier published articles or a current topic on which a publication of any sort would have appeared including the editorial in the journal. This can include a short summary of the work of the author also as a reference but not a detailed analytical data of the work. The editorial board may give in reply or get the response of the original author of the published articles quoted and publish it as a reply to such letters.

Letter to the Editor should adhere the following requirements:

  1. Maximum word count of 1000 words
  2. Up to 10 references.
  3. Authors are required to pay a publication fee to publish a letter to the editor                                                               

 

Editorial

Editorials are submitted exclusively by the Editorial Board Member of the journal according to the topics covered. The aim of Editorials is to deliver the aims and objectives of the research that pertains to the topic to readers, as well as engaging it in a more extensive context. The Editorial should present the contributing articles of the Research Topic but not a brief table of content. As the final contributing article to the Research Topic, Editorials should be submitted once all expected articles have been accepted and published.

Editorials should adhere to the following requirements:

  1. A word count of 1,000 for Topics with 5-10 articles. Each additional article in the Topic, the word count can increase for up to a maximum of 5,000 words for 50 articles or more.
  2. Editorials should not include unpublished or original data, nor figures.
  3. The inclusion of references in the Editorials is strongly encouraged.
  4. A publication fee is not charged to publish an Editorial.                                                                                                      

 

Erratum

Errata are submitted by the journal’s editorial office to correct errors introduced to the article by the publisher after the author proofing stage. The articles carry the title format: "Erratum: Original Article Title".                                            

 

Correction

Corrigendum/Addendum: should authors notice errors that affect the scholarly record or the integrity of the paper, authors are encouraged to submit a correction online. The cover letter must detail the reason(s) for and location(s) of the error(s) within the article and the correct information. All authors of the original article need to agree to the request for changes. Depending on the extent of the correction required, corrections may require peer review. Authors are informed that requests for changes beyond that described here may not be accepted for publication.

Erratum: should authors notice differences between their approved galley proofs and the final published article, thus leading to errors that affect the scholarly record or the integrity of the paper, authors are encouraged to submit a request for erratum to the journal editorial office itps.editorial.office@bbwpbulisher.com, clearly specifying the error and the correct information in the cover letter.

Authors are not required to pay a publication fee to publish corrections.
